Celebrating Our Impact in 2023

January 23, 2024

2023 was a big year for Waymark. Since we began delivering care in January, we’ve:

  • Supported >930 primary care providers
  • Hired over 40 new team members
  • Published 4 articles in peer-reviewed journals
  • Built an industry-leading algorithm to identify rising risk Medicaid patients
  • Currently supporting ~50,000 patients across Washington and Virginia

This is meaningful progress in our mission to create more equitable and accessible systems of care for people receiving Medicaid. We’re grateful to our partners for their dedication to our shared mission, and to the communities we serve for guiding us and setting the “waymarks” for the solutions we build.

Check out some feedback from patients and PCPs highlighting our impact in 2023 below:

“I'm very thankful for the support I've received and look forward to continuing therapy as well as regular contact with my CHW. I appreciate the opportunity I was given to speak with your clinical pharmacist as well. It's great to have these resources,  as I've been feeling really alone and hopeless because I'm in constant severe pain related to my spine, and because of my current living situation.” — Waymark patient
“The care I experienced was excellent. My kids and I are currently in a crisis and my CHW has been excellent at providing resources and making sure we are okay. My family and I are very grateful for the service provided.” — Waymark patient
“I’ve been impressed by the depth of support my patients with substance use disorder have received. They have received a level of advocacy and compassion I have not seen before.” — PCP supported by Waymark
“Seeing real support with addressing social drivers as well as directly addressing healthcare maintenance opportunities.” — PCP supported by Waymark
“Our patients appreciate the assistance they get from Waymark. They know people besides themselves care about their health just as much if not more than themselves.” — PCP supported by Waymark
