Social determinants of health affect the distribution of individual-level social risks to health, such as food insecurity housing instability, and inadequate transportation. In a new article published in JAMA Health Forum with colleagues from the University of North Carolina and University of California San Francisco, we describe strategies to finance healthcare system interventions addressing social risks.
