For the second time, Waymark has been selected by Business Insider as one of their most promising healthcare startups of the year in recognition of the work its teams do in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to deliver equitable care to patients receiving Medicaid. 

VC Deena Shakir with Lux Capital, who nominated Waymark to the list, told Business Insider that the nomination was to underscore how Waymark “boasts some of the most impactful applications of AI in healthcare.” This nomination underscores Waymark’s 2022 list placement, where the company was recognized for a unique approach to data science that merged AI/ML tools with value-based contracts to better serve vulnerable patients.
